Overview: Black and white. A black screen with the title 'Meal' appears. A single frame shot of a place setting consisting of a white plate with a circular floral pattern and a peeled banana on top; a dinner knife placed to the right of the plate; six dinner forks lined up vertically to the left of the plate. The place setting sits on top of a black placemat, which in turn sits on top of a light colored table creating a visible contrast of white and black. A man wearing a black long sleeved shirt sits at the table in the foreground at an angle so that the viewer is looking down past the top of his head, past a slight profile of his face and to his lap. With both his arms and hands visible, he picks up the knife and leftmost fork and cuts the banana vertically, slowly bringing the fork with the piece of banana up and past the profile of his face, out of view. His right hand holding the knife remains in view resting on the table to the right side of the plate. There is a slight pause and his left hand comes back down holding only the piece of banana with his fingers and places it down beside the remaining five forks. His left hand continues on, picking up the next fork. The process repeats itself until the banana is gone. The video ends with a single shot of the knife resting to the right of the plate, the empty white plate in the centre and six pieces of banana to the left of the plate where the forks originally were.
